The Shire Woodstock exceeded all our expectations during our recent stay. From the charming traditional New England furnishings in our room to the serene views of the Ottauquechee River flowing behind the property, every detail was perfect. the hotel's location in a walkable area with good shopping added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of our trip. The friendly and informative staff made us feel right at home from the moment we checked in, providing recommendations for activities in the area. Our room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a mini fridge that was incredibly convenient for storing snacks and drinks. the opportunity to relax on the furnished wraparound porch or riverside seating areas was a highlight, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Despite the less-than-ideal weather during our visit, we still appreciated the cozy ambiance of our room, complete with a comfortable king-size bed and a nice selection of coffee available in the hallway. the glitch with the TV was promptly resolved by the attentive staff, showcasing their commitment to ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests. Overall, the Shire Woodstock provided the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and relaxation. Whether you're looking to explore the pastoral countryside or simply laze away the day in a picturesque setting, this relaxed hotel is sure to offer a rare respite from the hectic world.
